Including Little Learners Series: Encouraging Healthy Social Emotional Development in the Young Child Ages 0- 3

Join us for a professional development event designed to help you support children birth to three years old who have special needs. Thanks to funding provided by the Maryland State Department of Education, the registration fee for this event is only $5.

This professional development series consists of one 2-hour training session, and two 1-hour follow up technical assistance sessions. The series is designed to encourage in-depth learning that supports each participant’s ability to implement strategies and techniques that support infants and toddlers with special needs. In order to receive a certificate of completion for core of knowledge hours, providers MUST attend the entire series, including both technical assistance sessions.


Training Session

Encouraging Healthy Social Emotional Development in the Young Child Ages 0- 3- This training will increase participants’ knowledge of healthy social and emotional development in young children ages, birth through three years old.  Participants will be able to define social development, emotional development and attachment.  Beginning in 3 month blocks, participants will learn the different developmental expectations of infants and toddlers as well as activities targeted to increase their social and emotional development.  Through activities and case scenarios, participants will gain insight in the best uses of positive discipline, communicating with families and creating an infant/toddler classroom environment.

Enhanced Technical Assistance for this series will be provided in partnership with The Lourie Center for Children’s Social and Emotional Wellness. Attendance at BOTH sessions is required to receive a certificate.Lourie Center Logo
