During this interactive workshop, participants will take a close look at speech and language development. Participants will understand the anatomy of speech and hearing mechanisms, the developmental progression of speech and language development, the importance of hearing on speech language development, the timeline for specific sound development and the process of learning English as a second language. Participants will have an opportunity to explore strategies that are used to support the development of speech and language skills in typically developing children and ways to include children with special needs.
