Pyramid Model for Preschool Classrooms Module 1:
11/29 and 12/1 – 6:30pm-9:30pm
Mod 1 focuses on Tier 1 of the Pyramid Model, which looks at adult activities to promote the social emotional wellbeing of all children. These include, building nurturing and responsive relationships with children and families and creating high quality supportive environments.
(Child Development – 6 hours)
Pyramid Model for Preschool Classrooms Module 2:
12/6 and 12/8 – 6:30pm-9:30pm
Mod 2 focuses on Tier 2 of the Pyramid Model, which looks at adult activities to prevent the need for intervention related to behavioral needs. In this mod, participants will learn about targeted social emotional supports and how to intentionally teach social emotional skills to children, including emotional literacy, emotional regulation, friendship skills and problem solving.
(Child Development – 6 hours)
Pyramid Model for Preschool Classrooms Module 3:
12/13 and 12/15 – 6:30pm-9:30pm
Mod 3 focuses on Tier 3 of the Pyramid Model, which looks at adult activities to respond to and reduce the need for intensive outside intervention related to behavioral needs. In this mod, participants will learn how to gather data around child behaviors to help understand the meaning and function of the behavior to create a behavior plan that meets the needs of that specific child. This process allows us to create an individualized intensive intervention
(Child Development – 6 hours)
Providers MUST attend all sessions.
