Project ACT has been awarded a generous grant from the Maryland State Department of Education to offer child care providers trainings in the area of special needs. As part of this grant, if you provide care for children ages birth through 3 years old, you have the ability to receive training and technical assistance.

**In order to receive a certificate of completion for core of knowledge hours, providers MUST   attend the two follow up technical assistance sessions. Providers will receive two additional core of knowledge hours in professionalism for the two follow up technical assistance sessions.  Certificates are given following the second technical assistance session, please plan accordingly.**

Technical Assistance Dates: Wednesday, May 30th (6:30-7:30 pm)

                                                 Wednesday, June 13th (6:30-7:30 pm)

Technical Assistance is provided in tandem with the Sensory Sensitivity training. If you have not done so, please register for the Sensory Sensitivity training on May 16th.  Providers who have attended the Sensory Sensitivity training will receive hands on professional development and coaching. Providers will participate in an in depth exploration of sensory sensitivity and how strategies can be implemented in their program. They can develop a plan of action with practical strategies unique to their program. 

Core of Knowledge Area 3 hours: Special Needs (1.5 hours) & Curriculum (1.5 hours) & Professionalism (2 hours)
